Meet the Staff
Top Shelf Video is hosted by two brothers, Jaime and Eli who are reconnecting through their love of growing up in the video store era. While Film to Table is husband and wife Denise and Eli talking about movies and food missing the era of Dinner and a Movie on TBS. While unfortunately neither Top Shelf Video and Film to Table are not real establishments the fantasy of having them one day is hopefully kicked off through these podcast conversations
Eli Luna
Co-host of Top Shelf Video and Film to Table Podcasts
Eli has been a video game developer and teacher for the past 24 years. Having worked on video game franchises from Halo, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Fallout, Starfield, and Borderlands, his passion for film is as deep as it is for video games. Having attended the Art Institute of Dallas his goal was to work in film but he took his skills to video games as they began to form a new storytelling medium. Being a cinephile and using films to research ideas for video games he uses his podcasts to share his thoughts on the movies he watches with Denise and Jaime.
Jaime Luna
Co-host of Top Shelf Video
Jaime proudly served in the United States Army for 25 years, with tours in Cuba, Afghanistan, Korea, and Kuwait. He raised four boys along the way. Now, in the private sector, he leads a team in the Austin area that powder coats manufactured parts for everything from airplanes to car parts. Now that Jaime is nearly an empty nester he is returning to movies he has missed in his busy younger years. He enjoys watching these movies between painting miniatures, 3D printing his miniatures, and running D&D campaigns for his friends and sons.
Denise Apigo
Co-host of Film to Table
Denise is an accomplished chef in the Dallas area having worked at award-winning restaurants. Currently taking a break from chef duties and working more on the administration side of the business she also has a Filipino popup venture with two other female entrepreneurs helping establish the Filipino food culture in Dallas. Also a cinephile and also married to Eli they make a good pair for talking movies and food in the Film to Table Podcast.
